This site has been established to equip praying people, worldwide, in this time in history, to participate in the Lord’s revealing of Himself as Messiah to the Jewish people. This site is intended for those who have been involved in the past, in consistent prayer for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, or who are beginning to feel that call from the Spirit of God now. This site is not informational only; it is intended to be a practical aid and encouragement to praying people who want to try to be involved in making a difference in the lives of Jewish people living inside and outside of Israel, and for the physical land and nation of Israel itself, all of whom are very important to God; and the “apple of His eye”. Zechariah 2:8.
It is my belief that now is the Lord’s time to “…arise and have compassion on Zion; for it is time to be gracious to her, for the appointed time has come.” Psalm 102:13. What I offer are scriptural prayers from the Bible, so that a praying person (an “intercessor”) may feel comfortable that his or her prayers are in the will of God and can have an impact on what God wants to do for the Jewish people. God is the initiator of prayers that He wants His people to pray, so that His will might be done. Support for this is when Jeremiah had prophesied in 605 B.C. (Nebuchadnezzar’s first year – see Jeremiah 25:1) that there would be a 70 year exile:
And this whole land shall be a desolation and a horror, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. Jeremiah 25:11
Daniel was carried away to Babylon in Nebuchadnezzar’s 1st year, as well. Compare Daniel 1:1 and Jeremiah 25:1. So, Daniel had been in Babylon for 19 years already, developing his reputation, when Jerusalem fell, in Nebuchadnezzar’s 19th year, or 586 B.C. See Jeremiah 52:12. When Daniel, 51 years later, after Cyrus the Persian had conquered Babylon, was reading the scroll containing Jeremiah 25:11, he realized that the 70 year exile was soon to end. So, he did not simply wait for God to fulfill His own spoken word; instead:
...I, Daniel observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the Lord to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, seventy years. So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes. Daniel 9:2-3.
Also, “Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7. (emphasis added).
We should have the same opinion. If it is time (only the Lord knows) for the Lord to “arise and have compassion on Zion”, we should be praying and interceding that He do so; that He carry out His own spoken word. I believe now is the time, based upon Hosea 6:1-2: “Come let us return to the Lord, for He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day that we may live before Him.” 2 Peter 3:8 states that “…with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” It has been 1,987 years since Jesus died, and the Old Covenant, based on an animal’s blood as an atonement, for the Jews, was replaced by the New Covenant in Jesus’ blood, for all who believe in His atoning death for them. Nevertheless, God has a plan for the Jews and Israel now, as Paul stated in Romans 11:25-26 “…that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in and thus all Israel will be saved…” “All” saved means, as with us, all who believe will be saved.
